Life as I know it is absolutely beautiful!
What follows is a quick summary of the more than two months since my last post.
1. Baptist youth summer camp called Track:
A thoroughly exhausting couple of days where we ran around doing everything and sleeping for about four hours each night. It was also raining cats and dogs, like it always does in Bergen. But it was a fantastic week nonetheless. I had two sessions where I taught the word of God. Something that always leaves me deflated (In a good way) and in awe of the mighty power of The Lord Almighty. To really see and experience that he can use me and my sometimes uncharming use of words to actually reach kids.
2. Norwegian Mission Society (or something like that...) teenage summer camp called Stagedive:
After the camp finished in Bergen, I rushed on to the south coast where I now was to teach kids the word of God, or, more specifically, about heaven. The strange thing about this was that I got more out of being a teacher myself, than sitting and listening. I know that sounds a bit pompous or maybe unhumble, but what I mean is that I feel God leading me much more when I teach young people, than when I sit and listen to a teacher myself. During the short week I also borrowed an SLR camera which I took a great bunch of pictures with. I loved running around catching peoples faces and expressions.
3. Start of term at school:
We started school again, and this time I hope was the last time for me. I now have one year left of my Bachelor degree in Theology. I honestly don't know what to do next year, but I am currently looking around for something new and challenging. I sent an e-mail to a friend in England asking her if she knew of anything interesting in England. It would have been really great going to england and work for a year or two. I even have an invitation to go to Serbia and work for 3, 6, 9 or 12 months.
4. New job:
I got a new job at a switch board of an insurance company. The work in itself is actually not bad, but what is really exciting is the people I work with. They are a bunch of funny, nice and inspiring people who know how to make the work place a manageable place.
5. Trip with nineteen-oh-five/7:05pm (A cafe in the pentecostal church in Bergen):
We went on a weekend trip out by the coast to get to know each other better and to meet new people. It was a fantastic experience getting to know some of them better, especially when we prayed together for things, people around us and for each other.
6. Rett Fokus/Right focus:
People at the age of 16-20 are now gathering by the South-east coast of Norway to learn and experience how to be a better leader and how to reflect Jesus in the way they lead. I had the privilege of teaching them in the introduction about leading and being a leader.
7. Who knows..?:
I have no idea what comes next, only God knows that. I only hope he uses me every chance he gets. I long to be an instrument for him. It is the most rewarding thing I've ever known.
Hope you are well people!
Peace out
